GhostFest & Haunted House 2025

Our haunted house is unlike any haunted event you will experience this year, because the May-Stringer IS the most haunted house in the State of Florida.  You can’t get more authentic than that.

GhostFest is 2 weekends in October, with the haunted house and some vendors each Friday and Saturday.  Then on the last Saturday it becomes an all day event with food, vendors, entertainment, and more all day and night, even after the Haunted House opens.

You will see at least 9 rooms of this 1865 Victorian house themed throughout the first two floors.  Then you exit the house only to experience more through out haunted maze.  It will be an experience you won’t soon forget.

We do not allow photography or video recording inside the house or maze.  No weapons are allowed.


MURDER AT THE MAY AVE HOUSE

(Brooksville, FL) – A gruesome murder took place at the house on May Avenue in downtown Brooksville. It happened last night, October 16, 1955 around 1:30 A.M. say the police where an unknown assailant entered the residence armed with a knife.  The noise must have woke the residents of the house up, as they were all dressed in their night clothes when the murderer attacked them.

The father was found lying face down in the kitchen.  He has defense wounds on his hands and received multiple stab wounds.  The wife and two children survived, hiding in the master bedroom closet.  Unfortunately none of the survivors were able to make a positive identification of the individual or on their vehicle.

This incident is similar to a few other murders around town, all appear random.  The police think this is a serial killer, and nobody is safe until they apprehend the murderer.  They suggest that everyone lock their doors and windows, do not let your pets stay outside and be vigilant.  It can be your only chance of survival.  Even the houses he victimized, he tends to return if the job wasn’t finished.  If anyone has any information, please notify the authorities by calling your local operator and have them patch you to “Metcalf 36499”.

Until his capture, the quaint and quiet town of Brooksville will not find peace.  Its not Pleasant Valley here anymore.


Think you’re done?  Nope!  If you made it out alive, now you have to survive the haunted maze where you will encounter psychotic clowns, rejected side-show freaks and anything else your worst nightmares could think up and bring to life. All you can do is pray you can get through it before they get you.  Remember, the only way to safety is through the haunted maze.

Curators of Fear have announced the following dates for this year's GhostFest and Haunted House. October 17th and 18th and 24th and 25th from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.  GhostFest starts at 10:00 am on Saturday the 25th and runs till the haunted house closes
